This story begins on a tranquil beach, where calm parents watch their children playing in the cool waters of the Columbia River as it cuts it's peaceful path-called "The Gorge"-into the Cascade Mountains. But the children who play on the warm beach want to learn to windsurf and their parents are becoming frantic as a circus of world class boardsailors floods the peaceful valley with high-intensity egos, exposed tan bodies, BMWs and bumper stickers reading,
"If it doesn't blow, it sucks."
